A married couple from the Yiddish stage argue because the husband has
been hired to act as master of ceremonies at an all-Jewish vaudeville
show and the wife wants to assist him. At the theater, the wife makes
the husband promise to let her participate in the show before she allows
him to begin. As the husband introduces the subsequent acts, the wife
continually butts in to inquire when she is to go on. Finally the
husband allows the wife on the stage, and she introduces an act.
However, from the wings, the husband and wife continue their quarrel.
The wife introduces another act, and at the end of the show, they think
they have done well and close singing a duet.
