In Honor of Our Dear Molly
Her Silver Anniversary in the Theatre

From Dora Weissman
Grand President

Tonight a star looks back and sees across the Theatre firmament a shining light of a great star.

There are moments in life so precious that they linger as long as one lives, and tonight another precious memory is treasured in my heart for a dream long visualized has become a reality.

We pay tribute to a great artist, a loveable person, an idol of the theatre who has never grown too big to play her part as an honored member of the Jewish stage, as well as the English stage.

She has never grown too big to lend her support to the actor up the ladder of fame. She has for them a great consideration and admiration. Her deep sense of friendship, her interest in those near and dear to her, her simplicity and her devotion to her art have made her the emblem of all that is fine in womanhood.

Humbly does the entire theatre pay homage to "little Molly Picon," and humbly do I say thank you, dear friends, for helping to make this evening an unforgettable one.

Thank you for adding another precious memory in my life.

Thank you, Harry Donenfeld for giving me this Journal as your donation to the cause I love so truly.

Thank you, dear artists, for so generously donating your priceless services.

Thank you all from these poor unfortunates whom we try to help, whom you have so graciously aided by your appearance tonight.

Thank you, Molly Picon, for making it possible to honor you tonight.

Thank you, dear God, for the precious privilege of being alive. May we always be able to help those who are in need.
