It is my special
privilege as the President of the Ladies Welfare
League of the Yiddish Theatrical Alliance to
extend to you my personal and warm greetings and
greetings of the officers and members of the
League.
It is of unique
significance and reason for great thoughtfulness
that we can enjoy this evening in friendship
together to honor our Molly Picon. I hope this
evening will live in your memories as a glorious
and memorable occasion.
My thanks to the various kind and
thoughtful individuals too numerous to mention
here, who have helped me achieve the success of
this glorious evening.
My deep appreciation for your
cooperation, for your contributions to the
magnificent work of our League so nobly
dedicated to the relief of the aged, the sick
and the needy of the Yiddish Theatrical
Alliance.
Let us renew our pledge to strive in behalf of
our League and to surpass our previous
accomplishments. What we have done has been from
the heart, and our highest hopes are centered
upon the premise of a great future.
I am mighty proud of the noble
ladies of our League and honored to be their
President.
May we always meet for the good of mankind. |
