In Honor of Our Dear Molly
Her Silver Anniversary in the Theatre

From Joseph Rumshinsky

To greet Molly Picon on any occasion is always a great source of pleasure to me. During the many years of my connection with the theatre, I consider the Picon-Kalich-Rumshinsky period one that will, I hope, remain as an epoch for the coming generations.

To me Molly Picon means to the Yiddish theatre what Paganini meant to the world of violin virtuosi, Queen Victoria to the realm of Royalty, and Enrico Caruso to the world of Opera.

I extend my heartiest greetings to the hearty Molly Picon who gave me so much inspiration to write such hearty melodies.
